Senior Software Engineer, Manufacturing Test (EagleEye)

Responsibilities

• ▹Deploy bulletproof, highly repeatable automated test software to the production floor to ensure mission readiness of tactical hardware
• ▹Write integration layers, wrappers, and APIs to run and monitor legacy LabVIEW test sequences within modern, Python-based test runners
• ▹Partner with centralized software and test infrastructure teams to adopt standardized test frameworks, unified database schemas, and modern deployment tools (Git, Docker, CI/CD) on the production floor
• ▹Build interactive test dashboards and integrate Statistical Process Control (SPC) engines to track test parameter drift and proactively identify manufacturing anomalies
• ▹Collaborate with product software and firmware teams during the design phase to define test interfaces, diagnostic APIs, and built-in self-test (BIST) routines
• ▹Develop and maintain core software libraries, instrument drivers, and test templates to standardize hardware interaction
• ▹Own the software health of the production floor, debugging failed test sequences, analyzing execution logs, and patching the codebase to keep the line moving

Requirements

• ▹B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• ▹8+ years of professional experience writing, debugging, and deploying test automation software
• ▹Proficiency in Python (application development, OOP, API integration) and LabVIEW (software architecture, debugging, actor framework or state machines)
• ▹Experience collaborating with cross-functional software teams to integrate localized hardware scripts with centralized, enterprise software systems
• ▹Proven experience writing driver software for laboratory/production equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DAQs, load banks)
• ▹Solid grasp of modern software engineering practices: Git, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software release management
• ▹Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Nice to have

• ▹Experience working with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or RESTful APIs for hardware-to-software communication
• ▹Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and deploying software to edge computers on a factory floor
• ▹Experience scaling hardware test suites from NPI (New Product Introduction) to high-rate production
• ▹Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
