Firmware Engineer, Connected Warfare

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers, create reusable device drivers
• ▹Integrate system-level features and architect changes for a growing codebase
• ▹Quickly debug and troubleshoot issues spanning electrical, firmware and software boundaries
• ▹Review schematics with the electrical engineering team

Requirements

• ▹BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience
• ▹Strong C coding ability for embedded systems
• ▹Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors
• ▹Experience developing firmware in bare-metal or RTOS environments
• ▹Solid understanding of coding best practices, board bring-up and debugging
• ▹Familiarity with common bus protocols (Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485)
• ▹U.S. Persons status required for export controlled data access

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with one or more microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, PIC)
• ▹Debugging skills with JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• ▹Bias for action and natural curiosity about technologies and tools
