Responsibilities

• ▹Architect and lead technical strategy for pricing and availability backend systems
• ▹Lead development and optimization of Airbnb's core pricing and availability products
• ▹Collaborate with product engineers on new host pricing functionality and calendar tools
• ▹Contribute to long-term backend system architecture within Host Pricing
• ▹Champion engineering excellence and mentor senior engineers

Requirements

• ▹9+ years of engineering experience with a BS/MS or PhD in CS or similar
• ▹Proven track record leading teams, setting technical strategy, and launching high-impact features
• ▹Expertise with backend systems in large-scale service-oriented architectures
• ▹Experience influencing cross-functional partners and engineering teams
• ▹Good judgment balancing short-term business needs with long-term technical quality
• ▹Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration
• ▹Strong problem-solving and production debugging abilities
