Manager, Shared Services — Cloud Engineering - FedRAMP

Responsibilities

• ▹Manage a team of engineers: 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring, career development in a distributed environment
• ▹Own the technical roadmap for shared cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS
• ▹Set standards for infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes) and documentation
• ▹Make technical decisions for application-layer infrastructure (Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis)
• ▹Run sprint planning and manage cross-team dependencies
• ▹Lead post-incident reviews
• ▹Work with Security and Compliance to keep FedRAMP and SOC 2 controls current
• ▹Promote AI-assisted tooling including LLM-based automation and AI-driven observability

Requirements

• ▹8+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering, with 3+ years managing engineers directly
• ▹Hands-on background with Azure and/or AWS — Kubernetes, microservices, cloud security fundamentals (PIM, RBAC, JIT)
• ▹Experience running critical, high-availability SaaS products (Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis)
• ▹Experience in or adjacent to FedRAMP-authorized environments
• ▹Comfortable explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
• ▹Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps
• ▹Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to have

• ▹Advanced RabbitMQ configurations: clustering, federation, message persistence
• ▹CI/CD tooling experience (e.g. Azure DevOps), infrastructure module deployment
• ▹Cloud cost management background
• ▹Exposure to SOC 2, FedRAMP, or PCI compliance controls
