Director, Forward Deployed Engineering – Federal

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Own delivery outcomes across a portfolio of federal accounts from signed SOW through production go-live and expansion
• ▹Hire, manage, and develop a team of Forward Deployed Engineers and Team Leads
• ▹Run executive briefings and steering committee updates with customer program leadership
• ▹Lead technical discovery and define MVP scope for new use cases across the portfolio
• ▹Oversee ATO/cATO accreditation strategy across accounts
• ▹Identify high-value mission use cases and build the business case for expansion

Requirements

• ▹U.S. citizenship required
• ▹10+ years of experience in management consulting or FDE/delivery leadership
• ▹Prior people management experience: hiring, developing, and performance-managing a team
• ▹Track record owning complex, multi-workstream delivery for federal civilian and/or DoW/DoD clients
• ▹Working knowledge of federal program structures and authorization landscape (PMO, ATO, AO, ISSM, RMF, FedRAMP)
• ▹Direct experience with AI agent deployment, LLM-based systems, or enterprise AI platforms in production
• ▹Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics

Nice to have

• ▹Active DoD security clearance (Secret or higher); TS/SCI a plus
• ▹Experience with accredited cloud environments such as AWS GovCloud/C2S or Azure Government
• ▹Experience in defense, intelligence, or another federal mission vertical
• ▹MBA from a top-tier program
