Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead development of recommender systems for meditation and mindfulness content, plus search, user knowledge graph, and conversational AI memory services
• ▹Develop and deploy complex, scalable AI models and applications
• ▹Drive impactful ML initiatives shaping mental healthcare delivery
• ▹Serve as a technical expert and mentor for AI/ML engineering
• ▹Contribute to personalization architecture design from vision through implementation
• ▹Collaborate with software engineers, ML engineers, MLOps engineers, and Product & Clinical leads

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• ▹5+ years of ML engineering experience, programming in Python
• ▹5+ years of experience with vector search, embedding models, recommender systems, supervised/unsupervised ML, deep learning, reinforcement learning, LLM orchestration, or RAG systems
• ▹3+ years of experience with modern NLP tools and ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, spaCy)
• ▹Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, and version control
• ▹Strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to influence across organizations

Nice to have

• ▹Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• ▹Professional experience with clinical or healthcare ML applications
• ▹Familiarity with current ML literature
• ▹Experience implementing robust, highly scalable services
• ▹AWS experience, including SageMaker, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, IAM
