Backend Engineer – Document Platform

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and maintain scalable backend microservices using C#, .NET, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS
• ▹Implement new features and improvements to document ingestion, processing and data-extraction pipelines with high quality and test coverage
• ▹Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences
• ▹Take ownership of well-scoped technical tasks and deepen knowledge of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
• ▹Debug and resolve issues across the technology stack, contributing to root-cause analysis and durable fixes
• ▹Participate in code reviews and apply DevOps and CI/CD best practices
• ▹Write and maintain technical documentation, architecture notes and data-flow diagrams

Requirements

• ▹3+ years of experience building, delivering and maintaining highly scalable production systems
• ▹Hands-on proficiency in C#, .NET, Docker, Kubernetes, New Relic and AWS
• ▹Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across legacy applications and technologies
• ▹Ability to create and update technical documentation for existing and new systems
• ▹Ability to take ownership of high-impact, medium-scale initiatives
• ▹Ability to refactor complex, monolithic systems into scalable, resilient components
• ▹Proficiency with DevOps and CI/CD concepts and tooling
• ▹Strong advocacy for the testing pyramid and automated release tooling
