Data Governance Manager

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead client projects with a focus on Data Governance and the transition to AI Governance
• ▹Develop and implement Data & AI governance frameworks (operating model, roles & responsibilities, policies, controls)
• ▹Design data domain and Data Mesh governance structures
• ▹Conduct maturity and gap analyses and develop transformation roadmaps
• ▹Advise at management level on regulatory requirements and their implementation
• ▹Support the selection and rollout of governance and metadata management solutions
• ▹Integrate governance structures into modern cloud and lakehouse architectures
• ▹Ensure regulatory compliance, especially with GDPR, DORA, and the EU AI Act

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of experience in Data Governance, data management, or a comparable role
• ▹Proven experience designing and rolling out governance programs in regulated environments, ideally financial services
• ▹Deep understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, DORA, EU AI Act) and their translation into operational processes
• ▹Experience developing target operating models and governance structures
• ▹Solid understanding of modern data platforms (cloud, lakehouse, data warehousing)
• ▹Confident advisory skills at both technical and management level
• ▹Very good German and English skills

• ▹Experience with Data Mesh and domain governance
