Senior AWS Cloud Architect

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, and evolve modern AWS cloud architectures following best practices
• ▹Design and implement highly available, secure, and performant AWS infrastructures
• ▹Operate and evolve core AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and Lambda
• ▹Define and implement architecture standards, governance guidelines, and security concepts
• ▹Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using Terraform, CloudFormation, and PowerShell
• ▹Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance and costs across the AWS system landscape
• ▹Lead and support cloud migrations from on-premise to AWS
• ▹Work closely with development teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• ▹Provide technical advice to stakeholders and mentor junior engineers
• ▹Participate in and lead national, international, and cross-functional IT projects

Requirements

• ▹Degree in computer science or a comparable IT qualification
• ▹Several years of experience designing, building, and operating AWS-based cloud solutions
• ▹Solid knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• ▹Experience with edge systems and distributed system landscapes, ideally in an industrial IoT environment
• ▹Know-how in AWS IaaS/PaaS services, container technologies, and microservice architectures
• ▹Experience with ITSM processes
• ▹Analytical, conceptual, and solution-oriented way of working
• ▹High degree of independence, communication skills, and organizational skills
• ▹Business-fluent German and English skills
