Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, secure services primarily in Java on AWS
• ▹Own delivery of clean, efficient, testable, well-documented code aligned with squad strategy
• ▹Participate actively across the full SDLC, from planning to production support
• ▹Design and implement scalable microservices architectures
• ▹Write and maintain robust automated tests (unit, integration, performance, end-to-end)
• ▹Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure with Terraform (IaC best practices)
• ▹Monitor application health via logs, metrics, alerts and tracing
• ▹Participate in code reviews with feedback on quality and architecture
• ▹Collaborate with product managers to translate business needs into solutions
• ▹Contribute to architectural and technical discussions
• ▹Support incident response and operational excellence
• ▹Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices

Requirements

• ▹2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant experience
• ▹English proficiency at B1 level or above (intermediate)
• ▹5+ years as a Software Engineer in production environments
• ▹Strong experience with Java
• ▹Advanced Git usage, including complex version-control scenarios
• ▹Experience designing and operating microservices architectures in the cloud
• ▹Proven debugging and troubleshooting ability in distributed systems
• ▹Strong testing expertise (unit, integration, performance, end-to-end)
• ▹Experience designing and documenting APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI, flow diagrams)
• ▹Proficiency with AWS services: SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge
• ▹Experience with IaC and deployment pipelines (Terraform, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Codefresh)
• ▹Advanced Docker and Kubernetes usage in production
• ▹Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling, familiarity with non-relational approaches
• ▹Understanding of CI/CD, GitOps and observability concepts

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with mission-critical systems
• ▹Experience in the financial industry or payments/authorization systems
• ▹Familiarity with observability tools for distributed systems
• ▹AWS certifications
• ▹Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, GPT, Claude)
