Lead Engineer Digital Manufacturing Solutions (f/m/div)

Build and shape the local Digital Manufacturing Solutions (DMS) team in Cegled: the team currently has one member and will grow to four after ramp-up, with you leading it. The role is the technical anchor for equipment automation, factory automation, self-developed applications and digital manufacturing, rolling out global standards while driving highly flexible local solutions for site-specific needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the site DMS roadmap, aligned with business priorities and DMS objectives
  • Coordinate DMS activities across DMS, IT, Manufacturing and other key stakeholders
  • Design, prototype and deliver technical solutions and architectures for complex shopfloor environments
  • Build and continuously improve in-house applications using a modern stack (e.g. C#, React, Angular, OpenShift)
  • Scout and evaluate new technologies and tools and turn them into practical implementation recommendations
  • Identify and drive AI use cases in DMS (software development, automation, engineering productivity) and beyond where it creates business value
  • Select, introduce and improve monitoring and operations tooling where needed
  • Troubleshoot critical technical issues, lead root-cause analysis and implement preventive actions
  • Ensure systems are resilient, sustainable and recoverable, including backup and recovery concepts
  • Maintain, upgrade and enhance local applications and systems to keep them secure and reliable
  • Lead projects introducing new systems and technologies from concept to rollout
  • Build strong stakeholder partnerships and provide clear technical guidance and decision support
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge bases
  • Ensure stable, smooth day-to-day operation of DMS systems and services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development, IT or a related field
  • Solid hands-on coding experience, ideally in C#/.NET
  • Comfort working across Windows Server and Linux
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle or MS SQL
  • Familiarity with collaboration and delivery tools like Jira and Confluence (or similar)
  • Fluent Hungarian plus intermediate English and/or German

Nice to have

  • Exposure to industrial communication standards such as OPC UA, MQTT or SECS/GEM
  • Leadership potential: ambition to grow into people management and build a high-performing team
