Senior Software Engineer, AI Productivity

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, and operate AI-powered services and internal applications (code assistants, knowledge search, chat workflows)
• ▹Implement back-end services in Python, Go, or Java; integrate foundation models via APIs, apply RAG and vector search
• ▹Own projects end-to-end, including requirements, design, testing, deployment, and on-call
• ▹Partner with Developer Platform, ML Platform, Security, and Legal to ensure safe and compliant AI usage
• ▹Define and track success metrics; run experiments and A/B tests

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production services
• ▹3+ years of hands-on experience in Python, Go, or Java
• ▹2+ years integrating ML or LLM capabilities into applications and shipping to production
• ▹Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• ▹Proficiency with SQL and data modeling; experience building data pipelines (e.g., Airflow)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience fine-tuning foundation models and implementing RAG with vector databases
• ▹Track record of building internal tools adopted by 100+ engineers
• ▹Experience measuring developer productivity (DORA/SPACE)
• ▹Experience with event-driven systems and microservices (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
