Responsibilities

• ▹Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a strong, collaborative culture with psychological safety
• ▹Handle all aspects of team leadership: goal-setting, performance and career management, coaching and mentoring
• ▹Drive strategic initiatives, ensure measurable business value, and represent the team's work to senior leadership
• ▹Oversee the team's operational excellence: SLOs/SLAs, low operational burden, secure and cost-effective services
• ▹Partner closely with Product Management to steer the backlog and execute the development plan

Requirements

• ▹Proven track record of building, leading and retaining high-performing engineering or data science teams
• ▹10+ years of experience in the software industry, with significant leadership experience
• ▹Exceptional leadership, coaching and motivational skills, with empathy and emotional intelligence
• ▹Strong ability to create alignment, facilitate complex discussions and drive a culture of collaboration
• ▹Ability to solve complex organizational problems and provide expert guidance on team dynamics and project execution

Nice to have

• ▹Experience leading teams in a cloud environment (e.g. GCP) and familiarity with DevOps principles
• ▹Background in software development (e.g. Python, TypeScript/Node.js) or data science
• ▹Leadership experience in the AI/ML domain, familiarity with LLMs or agentic frameworks
