TV Service Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹operates the central TV headend systems and backend solutions, ensuring continuous monitoring and fault-free service
• ▹contributes to integration tasks between platform components and the rollout of new technologies, and is responsible for the lifecycle management of certain system components
• ▹helps optimize how the headends interact with the distribution network and end-user devices, and tests new versions before rollout
• ▹independently plans and carries out specialist tasks in professional projects, and prepares training materials and documentation
• ▹contributes to quality-assurance tasks throughout the system lifecycle and develops/implements supporting solutions
• ▹maintains contact with external and internal partners and contributes to decision-support materials
• ▹a key focus is improving customer experience

Requirements

• ▹higher education degree (preferably technical, telecommunications or IT)
• ▹3-5 years of relevant experience in TV service operations or server operations
• ▹conversational-level business English
• ▹networking knowledge
• ▹ability and willingness to work independently
• ▹category B driving licence and driving experience
• ▹openness to on-call duty

Nice to have

• ▹professional knowledge of headend systems, CAS and video encoding
