Software Engineer (Agent Team)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop, and optimize the cross-platform Automox Agent (Windows, macOS, Linux) managing millions of devices
• ▹Write low-resource-consumption, highly reliable system-level code
• ▹Build secure communication pipelines between the local agent and cloud services (commands, telemetry)
• ▹Solve unique system-level challenges: native OS process management, isolated execution environments
• ▹Collaborate with cloud infrastructure and platform teams to deliver end-to-end features

Requirements

• ▹Hands-on experience with Go and Java, with strength in at least one
• ▹3-5 years designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications in a high-availability SaaS environment
• ▹Strong appreciation for resource-constrained environments and system-level performance optimization
• ▹Experience or strong interest in secure, efficient communication between local client software and large-scale cloud backends
• ▹Experience building production applications in AWS or GCP with security best practices
• ▹Experience scaling microservice architectures and large-scale event ingestion platforms
• ▹Familiarity with websockets, real-time messaging (Kafka, MQTT), and NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB)

Nice to have

• ▹Secure coding experience: OWASP, vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, penetration testing, encryption, authentication/authorization
• ▹Experience as a Software Engineer on applications with continuous client connectivity
