About the Role

The Core Systems Engineer – Automation & Platform Engineering is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated infrastructure solutions in a highly available, production environment. This role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reliability, and monitoring through scripting, automation, and modern infrastructure practices.

This is a remote position supporting a global environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure and operations
• Create and modify scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Ansible
• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles to system configuration and deployment
• Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting platforms (Grafana, Zabbix)
• Integrate systems using APIs (REST, JSON, YAML)
• Support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V
• Troubleshoot complex system and performance issues in production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and improvements
• Maintain source control using Git and contribute to CI/CD pipelines where applicable
• Document systems, processes, and automation workflows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong experience with Linux administration
• Hands-on experience with Grafana, Zabbix, or similar monitoring tools
• Experience creating or maintaining dashboards, alerts, triggers, templates, or monitoring checks
• Understanding of system metrics such as CPU, memory, disk, network, services, logs, and application availability
• Hands-on experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, bash or one of them)
• Familiarity with APIs, REST, JSON, YAML, and system integration concepts
• Familiarity with Git or other source control tools
• Experience supporting production infrastructure environments
• Tem Player - this is very important for us
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWX, Ansible
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI)
• Experience with advanced monitoring platforms (VictoriaMetrics, Telegraf, ELK)
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V and/or OLVM)

• Work on automation-first, enterprise-scale infrastructure
