Application Development Architect (.Net)

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, high-performance applications and define technical standards
• ▹Design and oversee containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• ▹Translate business requirements into technical designs, architectural blueprints, and implementation strategies
• ▹Evaluate and recommend technologies and frameworks, with emphasis on GCP and cloud-native architectures
• ▹Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, including code reviews
• ▹Design solutions meeting performance, scalability, and reliability requirements using GKE auto-scaling
• ▹Define integration strategies across APIs, microservices, third-party platforms, and legacy systems
• ▹Collaborate with clients, product managers, and engineering teams to align technical solutions with business goals
• ▹Contribute to technical roadmaps and evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, serverless, Service Mesh/Istio)
• ▹Identify technical risks, especially around infrastructure security and cluster management, and propose mitigations

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of progressive software development experience, including 3-5 years as an Application Architect or similar senior role
• ▹Deep, hands-on experience designing and managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters; GKE experience strongly preferred
• ▹Proven track record designing and deploying cloud-native applications on GCP
• ▹Strong understanding of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Serverless, and N-tier applications
• ▹Proficiency in Java plus at least one other modern language (Python, Node.js, Go, or C#)
• ▹Experience designing data models and selecting appropriate database technologies (relational, NoSQL)
• ▹Extensive experience with RESTful API design, API gateways (e.g., Apigee), and secure development practices
• ▹Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm)
• ▹Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex architecture to stakeholders
• ▹Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
