Backend Engineer (Mid, PHP) – Systems Team

Responsibilities

• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and use of microservices across Nord Security's suite of products
• ▹Deliver high-quality code where scalability and security come first
• ▹Actively engage in technical and architectural decisions, refine processes and contribute to the strategic direction of the product
• ▹Take strong ownership and accountability for the development, maintenance and quality of the product
• ▹Foster smooth communication and collaboration between engineering, product and design professionals

Requirements

• ▹In-depth knowledge of PHP (3+ years)
• ▹Hands-on use of AI tools to augment engineering (code generation, test creation, performance tuning, debugging) with strong ownership of outputs
• ▹System design experience: you know what patterns to use, when and why
• ▹Solid understanding of OOP, asynchronous programming and design patterns
• ▹Passion for architecture and technologies, open to speaking with anyone
• ▹Understanding of core CI/CD principles, unit and integration testing

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of cryptography
