Cloud Data Engineer (Data & AI)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and develop scalable, reliable and secure ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS
• ▹Implement data ingestion, integration and processing in both batch and real-time streaming modes
• ▹Manage and optimize Data Warehouse and Data Lake ecosystems, with particular focus on BigQuery, Amazon Redshift and Amazon Athena
• ▹Collaborate with Data Science and AI teams to integrate machine learning models and support Generative AI and agentic solutions
• ▹Ensure data quality, security and compliance across the full data lifecycle, applying governance and data protection best practices
• ▹Automate deployment and operational processes through Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Actively contribute to the evolution of clients' cloud architectures and data platforms

Requirements

• ▹Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Physics
• ▹2-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer in structured corporate or consulting environments
• ▹Ability to work autonomously while meeting project deadlines
• ▹Analytical, problem-solving mindset
• ▹Strong interpersonal skills, experience in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
• ▹Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP): BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer
• ▹Experience with AWS: Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift
• ▹Excellent SQL skills
• ▹Solid command of at least one programming language (Python preferred; Go, Node.js, C/C++ also relevant)
• ▹Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer)
• ▹Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of Generative AI technologies (LLM, RAG, vector databases)
• ▹Experience with agentic applications and LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen)
• ▹Experience in complex data migration projects, multi-cloud integrations or legacy system modernization
• ▹Knowledge of data security, encryption and re-encryption processes
• ▹Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• ▹Cloud certifications (Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Engineer or equivalent)
