Senior Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Work with Business Development, Jobber Engineering and external third parties to propose and design solutions that meet all parties' needs
• ▹Develop and implement integration strategies that enhance the application marketplace offerings
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize API solutions (REST and GraphQL)
• ▹Act as a liaison between technical teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment
• ▹Provide technical support and guidance to partners throughout the integration process
• ▹Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the integration landscape
• ▹Collaborate cross-functionally to conceptualize, design, and iteratively deliver high-impact features that address customer needs
• ▹Partner with Product and Design teams to shape and define the strategic product roadmap
• ▹Actively participate in code reviews and testing processes to ensure code quality and maintainability
• ▹Champion the development of consistent engineering practices and reusable code solutions
• ▹Participate in discussions to drive consensus on optimal solutions for complex customer problems
• ▹Research, promote, and implement industry best practices
• ▹Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• ▹Provide mentorship and guidance to team members

Requirements

• ▹Previous experience in a solutions engineering or similar role
• ▹Proven experience in application marketplace development and management
• ▹Strong knowledge of API technologies, including REST and GraphQL
• ▹Strong communication skills
• ▹Collaborative problem solving skills coupled with the ability to think on your feet
• ▹Demonstrated expertise in developing highly scalable, robust software solutions across multiple layers of the technology stack
• ▹Proven leadership experience championing complex, high-impact projects and serving as core contributor
• ▹Exceptional proficiency in software design, architecture, and coding, with a focus on maintainability and performance
• ▹Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, amplifying the team's productivity through mentorship/coaching
• ▹Strong self-motivation and resourcefulness
• ▹Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize tasks effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• ▹Passionate commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
• ▹Open to candidates based in one of Jobber's hub cities: Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo

Nice to have

• ▹Exposure or experience in a tech leadership role
• ▹Experience with the development stack: React, React Native, TypeScript, GraphQL API layer, and Ruby on Rails on AWS
