Application Engineer II

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build and maintain high-scale, high-frequency backend systems and APIs
• ▹Own features end-to-end from architecture to production support
• ▹Contribute to large-scale migration and modernisation initiatives, decoupling legacy dependencies
• ▹Transform complex technical and business requirements into production-ready solutions
• ▹Participate actively in agile ceremonies
• ▹Identify and resolve complex issues across distributed systems

Requirements

• ▹5+ years backend engineering experience with strong Java proficiency, ideally exposure to PHP; Go, C# or Python also valued
• ▹Experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-volume systems (distributed systems, queuing, caching, concurrency, fault tolerance)
• ▹Background in financial systems, payments or data-intensive applications is a plus
• ▹End-to-end ownership mindset, product-first approach
• ▹Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• ▹PHP, Go, C# or Python experience
