Global Partner Engineering Manager, Payments

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead, mentor and coach a global team of Payment Partner Engineers
• ▹define the strategic direction of the Partner Engineering function, shifting from reactive to proactive work
• ▹own integration health across the payment portfolio (auth rates, settlement, disputes)
• ▹drive architectural recommendations for optimal partner integrations
• ▹partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance and Reliability
• ▹maintain senior-level relationships with payment partners (QBRs, joint business planning, escalation management)
• ▹secure resources and define team structure through Adyen's planning processes

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of direct line management experience of technical or hybrid technical/operational teams
• ▹solid understanding of payments: card schemes, payment method integrations, API-based flows
• ▹comfort with technical concepts at API and systems level
• ▹proven experience driving operational improvements and sustainable processes
• ▹strong cross-functional communication and influence
• ▹ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and partners
