Senior Software Engineer (Frameworks), JavaScript SDK

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Work across an extensive suite of JavaScript SDKs, spanning frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js, Nuxt) and server/edge runtimes (NestJS, Hono)
• ▹Plan, implement, and ship code end-to-end: unit/integration tests plus clear documentation
• ▹Use AI tools to boost productivity and focus on solving complex problems
• ▹Collaborate with organizations and committees such as TC39 and the OpenTelemetry SIG
• ▹Assist Customer Operations with critical bugs, interact with users on GitHub and at conferences

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, web developer, or similar role
• ▹Deep expertise developing web applications, libraries, or SDKs using TypeScript/JavaScript
• ▹Hands-on experience with two or more modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, NestJS, or Hono) and understanding of their rendering models, lifecycles, and runtimes
• ▹Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• ▹Based in San Francisco (Bay Area) or open to relocating

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with edge runtimes, server components, or hybrid rendering patterns across multiple frameworks
• ▹A history of contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries
• ▹Experience engaging with open-source committees or working groups
