Responsibilities

• ▹Architect and implement advanced API gateway and service mesh solutions with enterprise clients
• ▹Lead technical deep-dive sessions, workshops, and PoCs
• ▹Drive resolution of critical customer technical issues with engineering and product teams
• ▹Own technical success of strategic accounts from pre-sales through post-implementation
• ▹Influence product roadmap through customer feedback
• ▹Mentor junior engineers and technical account managers
• ▹Travel approximately 30-50% to client sites and industry events

Requirements

• ▹7+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant)
• ▹Deep expertise in API lifecycle management, microservices, and distributed systems
• ▹Strong command of cloud-native tech: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/Azure/GCP
• ▹Proficiency in Golang, Python, Lua, or JavaScript for integrations
• ▹Experience with Open Source, APIs, or Infrastructure
• ▹Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the software stack

Nice to have

• ▹Prior experience with Kong Gateway, Kong Mesh, or similar platforms
• ▹Active open-source contributions or strong technical portfolio
• ▹Experience in regulated industries (Finance, Healthcare, Government)
• ▹Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator)
