Software Engineer - Rust - Event Gateway

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and maintain a high-performance, flexible Kafka protocol proxy
• ▹Architect, design, and implement new features to extend the Event Proxy
• ▹Troubleshoot bugs, tune performance, and do low-level optimization
• ▹Collaborate with other data plane engineers to expand the Kong runtime platform

Requirements

• ▹2+ years programming server-side applications and components
• ▹2+ years Rust experience with understanding of async Rust
• ▹Experience with distributed systems, Linux networking stack, and systems programming (L7/L4)
• ▹Comfortable working with a remotely distributed team
• ▹Strong ownership and excellent verbal/written communication

Nice to have

• ▹Hands-on experience with Tokio
• ▹Contributions to Rust open source projects
• ▹Hands-on experience with Kafka internals
