Responsibilities

• ▹Support field sales in helping customers understand Kong's value
• ▹Build trusted client relationships from discovery through production
• ▹Support PoCs through the full evaluation process
• ▹Onboard new customers, establish revenue potential with existing ones
• ▹Coordinate with support, product, and engineering teams
• ▹Create technical documentation for DevOps and implementations
• ▹Participate in lead-generating activities: blog posts, webinars, industry events

Requirements

• ▹7+ years pre-sales Solution Engineering experience at SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise Software company
• ▹Experience with open-source technology
• ▹Foundational knowledge of API Management, Cloud computing trends, open-source business models
• ▹Confident presenting to C-level or Director executives
• ▹Enthusiasm for a high-profile, fast-paced startup culture

Nice to have

• ▹Prior experience with API Gateway or Service Mesh
• ▹Docker or Kubernetes experience
• ▹Strong knowledge of NGINX, HTTP, AWS, Postgres, Cassandra
• ▹Fluency on Linux OSes
• ▹Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD
• ▹Knowledge of DCOS/Mesos and Docker Swarm
