Responsibilities

• ▹Full-scope design and steering of enterprise application architecture
• ▹Translating business needs (from the Value Stream Owner side) into technical concepts
• ▹Providing technical leadership and coordination for international, English-speaking development teams
• ▹Ensuring integration of development outcomes into the Telekom system landscape
• ▹Designing and evaluating scalable, secure and sustainable system architectures
• ▹Enforcing architecture governance and development/quality standards
• ▹Designing distributed systems and integration solutions
• ▹Analyzing, structuring and communicating requirements between business and technical stakeholders
• ▹Continuous alignment between subject-matter areas, architecture and development teams
• ▹Ensuring technical consistency across multiple systems
• ▹Taking into account complex systems and processes operating in the Telekom environment
• ▹Adhering to and enforcing internal processes and governance rules

Requirements

• ▹Several years of experience designing enterprise application architectures
• ▹Strong backend architecture experience with Java-based systems
• ▹Confident frontend architecture knowledge (Angular and/or React)
• ▹Experience designing scalable, secure and maintainable systems
• ▹Solid knowledge of distributed systems and integration solutions
• ▹Experience translating complex requirements into technical implementations
• ▹Understanding of telecommunications systems and enterprise IT environments
• ▹Experience enforcing architecture governance and quality standards
• ▹German - C1
• ▹English - C1

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in scaled agile operations (e.g. SAFe, value-stream-based organizations)
• ▹Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and cloud architecture principles (e.g. T Cloud Public or similar environments)
• ▹Experience collaborating with operations, service management or SRE-adjacent roles
• ▹Architecture-level knowledge of security standards (e.g. OWASP)
• ▹Experience producing architecture reviews, decisions and documentation
• ▹Handling non-functional requirements (e.g. performance, stability)
• ▹Use of Jira, Confluence and architecture documentation tools
• ▹Collaboration with multiple organizational units and external partners
• ▹Experience facilitating workshops and architectural decision-making
