Senior DevOps Engineer - Global Identity Platform

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the end-to-end evolution of the Kubernetes platform (GKE), from cluster design to multi-region resilience
• ▹Set the technical direction and transparently document architecture decisions (ADRs)
• ▹Build, operate and secure modern deployment pipelines and GitOps workflows (GitLab CI/GitHub Actions, ArgoCD/Flux, Helm)
• ▹Define, provision and maintain cloud infrastructure automatically via Terraform
• ▹Establish comprehensive monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic) and implement secret management (Vault, Google Secret Manager) and policy-as-code standards
• ▹Integrate and operate modern identity and access systems (OIDC, SAML, mTLS, Workload Identity, Ping Identity Suite) in close coordination with the identity engineering teams
• ▹Ensure audit readiness, regulatory compliance (BaFin, DORA) and consistent enforcement of zero-trust principles
• ▹Represent platform decisions and architectures to lead architects, security officers and top management

Requirements

• ▹Several years of experience running Google Kubernetes Engine or another hyperscaler in production, ideally in regulated or highly scaled environments
• ▹Confident with Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD/Flux, GitLab CI or similar, Prometheus/Grafana, Vault
• ▹Cloud-native mindset: declarative patterns, immutable infrastructure, automated feedback loops
• ▹Identity or security affinity: experience with IAM concepts, OIDC, SAML, mTLS or Workload Identity
• ▹Negotiation-level English required; German is a plus
