Responsibilities

• ▹Research and access web APIs to understand their structure, endpoints and data without relying on screen scraping
• ▹Reverse engineer web APIs where needed using tools like Burp Suite, Postman or Fiddler, with analysis from a QA perspective
• ▹Write robust, scalable code that extracts data from public APIs and transforms it into common data models
• ▹Design and implement API integrations using deep knowledge of web fundamentals (HTML, DOM, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP/S, client/server architecture, networking protocols)
• ▹Develop solutions to handle bot detection techniques such as request throttling, device fingerprinting and CAPTCHA
• ▹Break products and features into manageable, iterative releases
• ▹Document findings and collaborate with development teams
• ▹Take ownership across the full Software Development Life Cycle, from QA and build to deployment and production support

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• ▹At least 3 years of software development experience as a full-stack engineer building web applications with Node.js and TypeScript, with a breadth of technologies and test automation frameworks
• ▹Understanding of REST APIs, authentication mechanisms (JWT, SAML, OAuth) and data transfer processes
• ▹Familiarity with agile development practices and version control systems such as Git
• ▹Ability to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly
