System Engineer - Network Analysis

Responsibilities

• ▹Plan, run and evaluate load and performance tests for network and application scenarios
• ▹Configure and operate load generators and network simulation tools (for example Keysight CloudStorm, Spirent TestCenter/CyberFlood, Apache JMeter, Calnex SNE)
• ▹Perform network, protocol and packet analyses with tools such as Netscout nGeniusOne, Allegro Multimeter, LiveAction LiveWire/Omnipeek and Wireshark
• ▹Analyze and diagnose network communication across all layers of the OSI reference model and derive suitable optimization measures
• ▹Document analysis results and work closely with internal departments and customers to identify and resolve performance and network problems

Requirements

• ▹Completed vocational training in IT and at least 3 years of practical experience
• ▹Solid knowledge of switching, routing and client and server operating systems
• ▹Structured, independent and analytical way of working and strong teamwork and communication skills
• ▹Willingness to keep learning professionally and to travel occasionally
• ▹Fluent German and good English, written and spoken

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in network analysis and performance monitoring
• ▹ITIL 4 certification
