Senior Backend Engineer for Creators group (Node.js/TypeScript)

Responsibilities

• ▹Own features and projects end-to-end, from discovery to production
• ▹Build the tools and features creators rely on to publish, monetize and grow their Actors
• ▹Work in a small, cross-functional team, shipping in two-week sprints and deploying daily
• ▹Use the Apify platform yourself every day and keep improving it
• ▹Contribute to open source (the company publishes everything it can on GitHub)
• ▹Publishers team: Actor monetization logic, analytics, review system and systems for maintaining Actor quality
• ▹Billing team: creator payout infrastructure, the billing system, and the backbone for the emerging agentic payment economy

Requirements

• ▹3+ years of industry experience building backend systems and APIs
• ▹Strong development and debugging skills in TypeScript/Node.js, or proficiency in another language and the drive to learn TypeScript quickly
• ▹Hands-on experience with AI tools in day-to-day work
• ▹Experiment-driven, collaborative mindset
• ▹Strong technical background or a great professional track record
• ▹Good communication skills in English
