Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable notification systems for administrators across email and integration channels
• ▹Partner closely with product, design, and data to refine hypotheses, define measurable outcomes, and interpret results
• ▹Balance rapid iteration with long-term architectural health and security
• ▹Set an example in code reviews by evaluating code quality, architectural alignment, performance, security, and best practices
• ▹Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical design discussions, and pairing
• ▹Drive measurable customer and business outcomes through your work

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment
• ▹Strong proficiency in Go, including designing and building public APIs and distributed backend services
• ▹Ability to operate autonomously, drive initiatives forward, and influence technical direction across teams
• ▹Experience designing and operating asynchronous, event-driven, or queue-based distributed systems at scale
• ▹Strong product mindset with empathy for customers and a focus on high-quality user experience

Nice to have

• ▹Security experience: security-focused development practices, threat modeling, systems handling sensitive data
• ▹Experience with containerized services and Kubernetes in production
• ▹Experience with transactional email systems at scale (ESPs, SMTP relays such as Amazon SES, SendGrid)
