Principal Partner Solutions Architect (Public Sector - Fed)

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the senior technical relationship with high-value federal and public sector partners, up to CTO/CISO/VP level
• ▹Lead joint technical strategy sessions and executive business reviews
• ▹Architect and lead complex partner initiatives (federal cloud migrations, zero-trust observability frameworks, FedRAMP-aligned deployments, DevSecOps transformations)
• ▹Design and deliver partner enablement programs: workshops, certifications, technical deep-dives
• ▹Collaborate internally to support customer demos and proof-of-value work
• ▹Advocate for partners' technical concerns (feature requests, issues) with Datadog internal teams
• ▹Serve as the authoritative voice of federal partner needs to Product, Engineering, and Technical Services

Requirements

• ▹15+ years in a customer- or partner-facing technical role, operating at both executive and deep technical levels
• ▹Proven track record building C-suite relationships in federal or public sector environments
• ▹Deep familiarity with the federal technology landscape: procurement cycles, compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, IL5)
• ▹Strong business acumen, self-starter mindset
• ▹Fluency in English required
• ▹Hands-on experience in five or more areas: observability (Datadog, Splunk, AppD, New Relic, Dynatrace), public cloud (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), dev/scripting (Python, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, Bash), config management (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef), CI/CD & DevSecOps (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions)

Nice to have

• ▹Previous experience at a federal systems integrator, defense contractor, or public sector-focused ISV
• ▹Previous experience using Datadog or other cloud monitoring tools (APM, Infrastructure, Logs, Synthetics, NPM)
• ▹Previous experience building or scaling partner technical programs
• ▹Root-cause-analysis, troubleshooting, debugging experience
