Responsibilities

• ▹Build an AI harness to auto-resolve bugs reported for the Notion app
• ▹Improve CI and build reliability, targeting a 5-minute CI time
• ▹Improve developer features for in-house, AI-first remote development environments
• ▹Execute a shared roadmap with the US engineering team to increase developer satisfaction, informed by the DevEx survey
• ▹Collaborate with engineers company-wide, working with the TypeScript language server, lint tooling, and the Notion CLI

Requirements

• ▹10+ years of experience with strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping well-scoped milestones
• ▹Leadership: creating technical roadmaps and executing large projects, motivating the team
• ▹Enjoys learning new technologies, demonstrated innovation through past work
• ▹Thrives in ambiguity, solves business problems through technology
• ▹Strong ownership and accountability for project and team success
• ▹Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional and cross-timezone teams
• ▹Experience building or operating developer tooling (CI/CD, infrastructure workflows, internal platforms)
• ▹Comfortable building and hardening AI agents: guardrails, evaluation/testing
• ▹Knowledge of agentic workflows: orchestration tradeoffs, cost analysis, scalability
• ▹Systems-level debugging and performance thinking
• ▹Ability to multiply the team through communication, reviews, and mentoring

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of building AI harnesses - tool building, context harness
