Staff Software Engineer - Security Engineering

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop security capabilities to secure Plaid infrastructure and sensitive data access
• ▹Lead the team's strategic planning in collaboration with the manager and senior engineers
• ▹Own, maintain, and build Plaid's security infrastructure and services (IAM Gateway, Key Management System, Network Firewall)
• ▹Consult with product engineers to ensure services meet security standards
• ▹Educate and support other engineering teams to improve security in their own products
• ▹Participate in Plaid's incident response and security awareness programs

Requirements

• ▹Experience building scalable systems and services
• ▹Experience architecting software systems to meet security, privacy, usability, scalability and cost requirements
• ▹Some type of leadership experience, such as a tech lead role

Nice to have

• ▹Experience building systems related to encryption, key/secret/certificate management, transport security, authentication, and authorization
• ▹Experience securing critical and sensitive information assets
• ▹Experience with data platforms and data infrastructure
• ▹Experience with threat modeling, security architecture reviews, or incident response
• ▹Passionate about educating others on security and privacy
