Responsibilities

• ▹Drive the technical vision and architecture for critical backend systems and platform services
• ▹Lead large, cross-functional engineering initiatives from design through production
• ▹Influence engineering strategy and architectural decisions across multiple teams
• ▹Design scalable, reliable and secure distributed systems for mission-critical workflows
• ▹Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical guidance and best practices
• ▹Improve system reliability, observability, performance and developer productivity
• ▹Partner with Product, Infrastructure and Clinical teams on impactful technical solutions
• ▹Build and operate services using Python, Go, FastAPI, Flask, Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• ▹8+ years of backend software engineering experience building large-scale distributed systems
• ▹Deep expertise in Python and/or Go and modern backend architectures
• ▹Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing engineering direction across teams
• ▹Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, APIs and microservices
• ▹Proven track record delivering scalable, reliable systems and sound architectural decisions
• ▹Excellent communication, mentorship and cross-functional collaboration skills
