Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and grow a team of 8+ engineers, ensuring clarity of purpose and strong collaboration

• ▹Own the technical execution and delivery of major backend systems and automation platforms
• ▹Partner closely with Product, Ops, and cross-functional teams to build high-value backend services
• ▹Manage project and resource prioritization with the right level of urgency and rigor
• ▹Uphold high standards in system design, code quality, and engineering operations
• ▹Coach and develop engineers, supporting career growth and technical excellence

Requirements

• ▹6+ years of software development experience in fast-paced, scaling environments
• ▹2+ years leading engineering teams (mentoring, performance reviews)
• ▹Strong individual-contributor foundation, comfortable diving into the codebase
• ▹Excellent communication skills, presenting technical concepts to leadership
• ▹Experience managing and scaling teams of 8+ engineers, ideally with sub-team leads
• ▹Proven ability to deliver reliable, maintainable, platform-scale systems
• ▹Proven technical leadership making architectural and strategic decisions
• ▹Strong technical background in modern backend development (e.g., Python, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes)
• ▹Proven ability to manage resource allocation
