Responsibilities

• ▹Own and build key features across frontend and backend systems that streamline debugging and monitoring for developers
• ▹Engage with the open-source community and customers, incorporating feedback into the roadmap
• ▹Supercharge HyperDX and ClickStack to process petabyte-scale observability data efficiently
• ▹Build analysis tools that help engineers crack production issues faster
• ▹Scale the cloud-hosted platform to serve a growing customer base

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably building developer tools
• ▹Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills (Next.js frontend, Express backend)
• ▹Strong proficiency in React.js
• ▹Proficiency in SQL for query generation on ClickHouse
• ▹Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• ▹Passion for open source and the developer community

Nice to have

• ▹Expertise in distributed systems and event ingestion pipelines
• ▹Experience working with columnar databases
• ▹Strong opinions on observability tools and a vision for making them better
• ▹Familiarity with additional languages (Python, Rust, PHP) for building integrations
• ▹Experience with SDKs
