Staff Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Provide technical leadership for a critical part of Attio's engineering organization
• ▹Work across teams to design significant parts of infrastructure, aligning with Attio's overall technical strategy
• ▹Hold a high bar for the output of the teams you work with, ensuring Attio executes both quickly and with quality
• ▹Be part of a technical leadership group that sets standards for how software is built and operated, ensuring robust, maintainable, reliable, scalable, and secure systems
• ▹Mentor and coach engineers, sharing knowledge and a growth mindset, and help ensure the best talent is hired
• ▹Optimize for the business, understanding customers and users to deliver uniquely valuable experiences

Requirements

• ▹First-class technical skills: an excellent technical executor who thinks in systems, not just code
• ▹Understanding of distributed, cloud-native systems, intuitively creating the right interfaces for parallel team innovation
• ▹Proven technical leadership credentials: a track record of delivering projects through others, not just personal execution
• ▹Ability to break down large, complex problems into smaller, independent goals that others can own
• ▹Understanding of how technical architecture impacts ability to deliver and maintain systems long term, sensitive to the right compromise
• ▹A growth mindset: openness to experimenting as software engineering changes in the age of AI
• ▹Demonstrated impact through mentoring and coaching, flexing style to colleagues' needs
• ▹A focus on product and customer, using data to ensure the right things are being built
