Hardware Technical Program Manager

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the end-to-end hardware development process: system architecture, design, prototyping, testing, transition to mass production
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including AI builders) to align on marketing and technical requirements
• ▹Manage external vendors and partners for component selection, prototyping, materials evaluation, and manufacturing
• ▹Own the program schedule and roadmap, balancing schedule, budget, and development needs
• ▹Own the program budget, including development NRE, materials, capex, and the product's unit economics (COGS, logistics)
• ▹Identify and mitigate risks in hardware development
• ▹Provide clear communication to stakeholders, program updates, and trade-off recommendations

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• ▹7+ years of experience in hardware program management, ideally in consumer electronics
• ▹Demonstrated success delivering hardware products from concept to mass production
• ▹Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
• ▹Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Advanced degree (not required)
• ▹Experience with overseas manufacturing and supply chain coordination
• ▹Exposure to highly miniaturized wearables or IoT device ecosystems
• ▹Technical expertise in miniaturized enclosures, low-power sensors, BLE, and battery-optimized devices
• ▹Proficiency in Mandarin
