Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Build platform APIs: authentication, billing, account management
• ▹Ship feature work across the stack, supporting the rollout of next-generation TTS and end-to-end speech models
• ▹Handle integration and migration work: token-based authentication, new billing and metering providers
• ▹Maintain and harden the current TTS API stack
• ▹Build realtime, low-latency, horizontally scalable streaming speech infrastructure

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of IC engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals
• ▹Experience with at least one low-level language: C++, Rust, or Go
• ▹Systems-level thinking across network, storage, and runtime layers, not just the application layer
• ▹Ability to build clean interfaces and design for loose coupling
• ▹Bias toward codification and reproducibility
• ▹Comfort shipping in an unfamiliar codebase without extensive hand-holding
• ▹Strong async written communication for a globally distributed team

Nice to have

• ▹Experience integrating third-party APIs: payments, monitoring, CRMs
• ▹Experience with gRPC or other bidirectional binary streaming protocols
• ▹Experience in multilingual monorepos, choosing languages on merit
• ▹Cloud infrastructure experience
• ▹Experience at a small startup with a broad, undefined role
• ▹Comfort working within ML systems
