Security Engineer, Application Security

Responsibilities

• ▹Conduct regular security assessments, code reviews, and penetration testing
• ▹Design, develop, and implement security tools, frameworks, and methodologies
• ▹Work closely with development teams to embed secure coding practices throughout the SDLC
• ▹Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments
• ▹Track, analyze, and manage vulnerabilities, supporting remediation efforts
• ▹Assist in investigating and responding to application-related security incidents
• ▹Stay current on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies

Requirements

• ▹Extensive experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related field, including leadership experience
• ▹Deep understanding of security technologies, tools, and best practices, including secure coding, threat modeling, and incident response
• ▹Experience in application security, software development, or related areas
• ▹Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++) and security tools (Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP)
• ▹Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex security issues
