Responsibilities

• ▹Drive design, development, and implementation of tools, systems, and processes that accelerate engineering velocity and improve output quality
• ▹Use the latest AI tools to rethink how the team can be the most productive in the industry
• ▹Work closely with teams across OpenAI to understand their workflows, challenges, and needs
• ▹Bring new features and research capabilities to life by partnering with product engineers
• ▹Guide and advise product engineering teams on best practices for observable, scalable systems
• ▹Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years building infrastructure tooling for developers
• ▹Experience-driven empathy for the tools, frustrations, and processes that slow engineering teams down
• ▹Strong intrinsic desire to learn and an equally strong talent for sharing learnings clearly with others
• ▹Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, Python, FastAPI, Postgres, and Cosmos DB
