Senior Technical Writer - Solutions Engineering (EU/UK remote, m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• ▹Own developer documentation end to end (API reference, guides, recipes, quickstarts, conceptual content) for both direct customers and embedded-finance partners
• ▹Lead a full rework of the information architecture around what developers are actually trying to do
• ▹Drive the unification of Direct and Partner API documentation as the underlying APIs converge into the Pliant API
• ▹Validate documentation hands-on: read code and API specs, call endpoints, run integration flows
• ▹Establish and uphold documentation standards, style guide and review process
• ▹Partner with Product and Engineering on API consistency (naming, error handling)
• ▹Improve the developer portal and docs tooling for fast publishing and a great reader experience
• ▹Use modern AI tooling to draft and restructure content while owning quality and editorial judgment
• ▹Define and track quality signals (e.g. time-to-first-successful-API-call, support deflection) to prioritize work

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of technical writing experience, with a strong track record building or overhauling developer documentation for an API-first product
• ▹Strong information architecture skills, designing structures around how audiences actually use them
• ▹Comfortable in docs-as-code workflows, able to read code and API specs independently
• ▹Works fluently with engineers and product managers as a technical peer
• ▹Excellent editorial judgment: clarity, consistency, brevity
• ▹Hands-on with modern AI tooling for writing and editing
• ▹Strong ownership mindset
• ▹Fluent English

Nice to have

• ▹Direct experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated, infrastructure-heavy B2B domain
• ▹Additional European languages
