Senior Software Engineer (Rust)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Contribute to the cross-platform libraries powering Photoroom on iOS, Android, and the Web
• ▹Architect, develop, and deliver complex features using Rust, WebAssembly, and wgpu
• ▹Own work end to end, from specification to integration on the target platform
• ▹Work closely with product, web, and mobile teams for a consistent Photoroom experience
• ▹Contribute to a live collaboration platform (similar to Figma or Google Docs)
• ▹Work within a ~120-person multicultural, committed team

Requirements

• ▹Proven experience developing software in Rust; C/C++ experience also highly valued
• ▹Understanding of at least one higher-level language (e.g. Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• ▹Experience delivering cross-platform client-side code with simple interfaces for complex tasks
• ▹Strong sense of ownership, comfortable making product and technical decisions
• ▹Experience on a talented team at a fast-growing startup
• ▹Fluent in English (French not required)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with OpenGL, Metal, WebGPU, WebAssembly, Elixir, or Erlang
