Senior Software Engineer (Frameworks), JavaScript SDK

Responsibilities

• ▹Work across Sentry's extensive suite of JavaScript SDKs, with broad framework coverage spanning the modern JS ecosystem
• ▹End-to-end ownership: plan, implement, and ship code, including tests and documentation
• ▹Use AI tools to boost productivity
• ▹Collaborate with the open-source community and committees such as TC39 and the OpenTelemetry SIG
• ▹Work directly with the Customer Operations team and interact with users on GitHub and at conferences

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, web developer, or similar role
• ▹Deep expertise in developing web applications, libraries, or SDKs using TypeScript/JavaScript
• ▹Hands-on experience with two or more modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, NestJS, Hono) and understanding of their rendering models and lifecycles
• ▹Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• ▹Based in the Toronto, Canada area or open to relocating

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with edge runtimes, server components, or hybrid rendering patterns
• ▹History of contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries
• ▹Experience engaging with open-source committees or working groups
