Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Product

Fullstack Developer • Remote • Vollzeit • 📍 Remote (United States)

Senior full-stack engineering role on Railway's Product team, building the user-facing dashboard and the microservice workflows behind it.

Responsibilities

  • Build features end-to-end, from the dashboard UI to orchestrating microservice workflows with Temporal
  • Craft intuitive interfaces together with the design team for complex computing paradigms
  • Build TypeScript + GraphQL APIs with strong data-modeling guarantees for internal and external users
  • Write Engineering Requirement Documents, from idea to defined tasks to implementation and monitoring
  • Openness to learning/using Rust for open-source tooling (CLI, Nixpacks)
  • Example projects: rebuilding logging infrastructure for 1B logs/day, 'Git for infrastructure', a Nix-based build tool, a 2D infrastructure visualization canvas, cross-region deployment migration via Temporal, a marketplace for reusable infrastructure

Requirements

  • Ability to autonomously lead, design and implement great product experiences end to end
  • Strong frontend architecture skills for interactivity-rich systems (fetching, mutating, rendering data)
  • Experience managing complex asynchronous backend jobs (e.g. build/deploy pipelines)
  • Desire to own the entire project lifecycle, from research to implementation and monitoring
  • Great written and verbal communication in a mostly-asynchronous environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with, or desire to learn, Rust for open-source repos
