Forward Deployed Engineer, Agentic Platform (UK/Europe)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Translate ambiguous enterprise business problems into agentic workflows with clear success criteria
• ▹Design, build and ship LLM-powered agents that reason, plan and act across tools, APIs and enterprise data sources
• ▹Build and ship features for North, Cohere's AI workspace platform, across the full product lifecycle
• ▹Own the scoping and delivery of use cases end-to-end, including frontend work when needed
• ▹Contribute to shared frameworks and patterns for consistent delivery across customers
• ▹Travel up to 20-40% to work on-site with customers and partners

Requirements

• ▹Hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade software in Python
• ▹Experience building and deploying performant RAG and agentic applications (e.g. ReAct, Plan-and-Execute patterns)
• ▹Deep familiarity with the LLM stack: frontier models, vector databases, orchestration frameworks
• ▹Proven ability to build robust evaluation frameworks for agent accuracy, safety and latency
• ▹Experience working directly with enterprise customers and leading technical discussions
• ▹Experience owning the full scope of a use case end-to-end

Nice to have

• ▹Experience setting architectural standards for AI and agentic systems across distributed teams
• ▹Experience flexing into unfamiliar technical areas such as frontend when needed
• ▹Exposure to regulated or sensitive industries (finance, healthcare, telecom)
• ▹Experience with enterprise security, compliance or auditability requirements for AI systems
