Expert Software Test Engineer (Test Automation)

Responsibilities

• ▹Implement and customize Gherkin statements in Java using the Selenium framework
• ▹Support testers in testing SOAP- and REST-based web services using appropriate test tools
• ▹Implement and develop test frameworks and tools (e.g. JUnit, Mockito, Selenium) used by Scrum teams and higher-level test phases for automated testing
• ▹Generate test data and perform test data management
• ▹Support testers with error analysis and maintaining their test cases
• ▹Work independently within the test automation team

Requirements

• ▹Experience implementing tests, performing manual and automated testing, and documenting test results
• ▹Experience testing SOAP- and REST-based web services with relevant tools (SOAPUI, Insomnia, Postman)
• ▹Experience implementing automated tests in Java with the Selenium framework
• ▹Experience applying Scrum and SAFe methodologies
• ▹Experience testing in agile environments (test quadrants, Shift Left approach)
• ▹Experience with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and writing GUI scenarios in Gherkin
• ▹Practical experience in CI/CD processes (using git, performing code reviews, analyzing static test results)
• ▹Communication skills for collaborating with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, developers and testers in an agile team
• ▹Analytical skills to investigate and evaluate deviations and anomalies in test results
• ▹ISTQB Foundation Level certificate (CTFL or Agile Tester)
• ▹German language skills (written and spoken)

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of container technologies and platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• ▹ISTQB Advanced Level certificate (Test Analyst or Agile Technical Tester)
• ▹English language skills
• ▹Experience in international and agile projects
• ▹Experience at a multinational company
