Data Domain Engineering Director

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the end-to-end lifecycle of domain data products: design, development, operationalization, evolution, retirement
• ▹Lead technical delivery across data ingestion, pipelines, transformations, APIs and data engineering processes
• ▹Build data products on the unified data platform, ensuring consistency and quality through a standardized data product journey
• ▹Define and enforce domain-level data product standards
• ▹Ensure discoverability, usability, documentation and adoption of domain data products
• ▹Own operational reliability and stability (SLOs, monitoring, continuous improvement)
• ▹Partner closely with business domain owners as a technical co-leader
• ▹Coordinate with other data domain engineering directors and platform leadership
• ▹Communicate technical decisions, risks and progress to senior stakeholders
• ▹Establish and improve release, operations, quality and engineering processes
• ▹Build and lead high-performing data engineering and data product teams
• ▹Manage domain-level technical debt and architectural evolution

Requirements

• ▹Strong expertise in data product architecture and domain-oriented design
• ▹Proven experience building and operating scalable data products on modern cloud platforms
• ▹Deep understanding of data engineering practices (ingestion, pipelines, transformations, API access)
• ▹Ability to ensure operational stability, reliability and quality via SLOs, monitoring and observability
• ▹Strong data product management mindset
• ▹Experience in federated data operating models and domain-based ownership
• ▹Experience in Data Mesh environments, managing cross-domain dependencies
• ▹Proven leadership experience managing data engineering and data product teams
• ▹Strong stakeholder management skills
